A chipper is a specialized piece of wood processing equipment used for slicing wood for a wide range of applications. Due to its low price and low maintenance cost, it has become the favorite of many initial venture investors. As a domestic chipper manufacturer, Jinno Machinery often receives inquiries from wood chipper customers. Today, this article talks about the feed size of chipper for reference only.

Chipper, also known as wood slicer, belongs to one of the wood processing equipment series, which is widely used in the preparation section of the production process of textile, paper, pulp, artificial board and other industries. The chipper is composed of machine base, knife plate, transmission spindle, feed port, housing, electric control system and so on. It can be said that it is simple but not simple, and the mechanism is stable and solid and durable. So what diameter of wood can the chipper process?

Different chipper models process wood of different diameters and unlimited lengths. Compared with similar products, the diameter of the processed material can be larger, and logs can be cut directly within 500mm. Larger machines are designed to reduce the number of times a log is used with a wood slicer and process more efficiently. The cutter head diameter is expanded to over 3000 mm and the rotating motor capacity reaches 800 kW. For the choice of equipment size and caliber, you can choose according to the material you generally process. If the material is generally small diameter wood, branches, small tree rolls, small boards, etc. It is not necessary to choose a large diameter opening. If the material to be processed is mainly logs with a diameter of 20 cm or more, it is recommended that you choose a new chipper. In general, the typical load of a new apparatus is 8 hours. It mainly consists of machine base, feed opening, cutter head, housing, shovel blade and electric control. The machine can adjust the slicing blade according to the need of producing different sizes and thicknesses of wood chips.

The wood is fed through the feeding port and when the wood comes into contact with the cutting blade, it is cut with the high speed rotation of the cutting head. The cut wood chips are sent out in the cutting chamber by the high speed steam flow generated by the blade on the cutting head. The chipper is a special equipment for producing wood chips, which are widely used in paper making, particle board, MDF, etc. The main raw material is logs.
