Maintain the petrol log splitter and leaf shredder first, which will directly to affect the life of the equipment and the maintenance cost. In addition to troubleshooting various faults, post-season maintenance should also focus on inspection and maintenance of the following items:

The equipment inspection must be carried out under absolute power-off and shutdown.

  1. Lubrication inspection: check each bearing and lubrication parts and add lubricating oil. If it appears dry and hard, it can be disassembled and cleaned with kerosene, and then refilled with lubricating oil.

  2. Vulnerable parts inspection: check whether the fixed knife, movable knife, hammer, split pin, shaft and other parts in contact with the material and the V-belt are worn, damaged, missing, etc., if found, they need to be replaced immediately. (The hammer pieces are individually worn or deformed, and all need to be replaced, otherwise, it will destroy the equipment's dynamic balance and affect the use.)

  3. Fastener inspection: check all bolts and nuts inside and outside the equipment, and lock them in time if they are loose.

  4. Rotor inspection: Turn the rotor by hand to check whether the rotor has abnormal noise or jamming, and eliminate it in time.

  5. Tire inspection: Check whether the tires are damaged, aging, insufficient tire pressure, inflexible rotation, etc. If there is a fault, it needs to be eliminated or replaced in time.

  6. Power part inspection: check whether the electric motor (diesel engine, gasoline engine), hydraulic system, electric circuit, and oil circuit are unobstructed and whether there are aging problems.

  7. Cleaning and inspection: clean up the remaining material inside the crushing bin, check whether there are hard objects such as masonry and iron blocks, clean the screen if there is sieving equipment, and remove dust and clean the stains outside.

After various inspections and maintenance are completed, it can be turned on and run for 10 minutes, and the equipment can be put into storage after it is normal. The post-season maintenance of petrol log splitters and leaf shredders is very important. Repair faults in time to avoid errors in work handover, keep the equipment in the best condition, and lay a good foundation for the next season.
